Lauren Wager is a color designer, author, and educator based in Columbus, Ohio. She founded Color Collective in 2010 as an online color resource for designers and artists, and has been sharing color inspiration and education ever since.

She is the author of four books published by Hoaki Books: Palette Perfect Vol. 1 (2018), Palette Perfect Vol. 2 (2022), Fashion Palettes (2024), and the forthcoming Nature's Living Color Palettes (2026). Her work has been featured in Lucky Magazine, Refinery29, Apartment Therapy, and more.

Lauren teaches the Color Journal Course, an online program helping creatives develop their personal color voice, and works as an independent Color & Creative Director providing color consulting, mood board direction, and trend forecasting for brands and creative teams. Lauren is currently training in personal color analysis and will be offering both in-person sessions in Columbus and virtual consultations beginning Summer 2026.

She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her family, and can usually be found on a run, collecting rocks and vintage wrapping paper + fabric, finding the best coffee, and searching for color combinations in unexpected places.
