Color Collective was created by Lauren Wager in January 2010 as an online color resource for designers. The color palettes are based on the work of various designers, artists, and photographers that Lauren is inspired by. Color Collective has been featured on top blogs such as Design*Sponge, Refinery29, Apartment Therapy, Design for Mankind, Smashing Magazine and The Huffington Post. Lauren's blog has also been featured in five issues of Lucky Magazine and Joy Cho's second book, Blog, Inc.

Lauren is the author of four books published by Hoaki Books: Palette Perfect Vol 1 (2018) & Vol 2 (2022), Fashion Palettes (2024), and Nature's Living Color Palettes (2026). She previously worked as a Color Designer and Social Media Designer at the home office of Bath & Body Works.

Currently, Lauren works as an independent Color & Creative Director, teaching her Color Journal Course and providing color consulting for product collections and creative projects. She offers one-on-one color sessions, custom mood board creation, and workshops that help creative professionals develop their color intuition and confidence. Lauren specializes in seasonal color direction, palette development, and helping designers discover their personal color voice.

She lives in Columbus, Ohio where she enjoys running, spending time with her family, collecting rocks, finding the best coffee, and searching for color combinations in unexpected places.
